So recently I participated in the Hillcrest Festival of Fine Arts and I had a really great time. I only heard about it through my art teacher who asked a few students and I to enter a few art works; so I did. I'm really glad I did cause in the end I actually had lots of fun and I really want to enter more competitions.

There was only one high school category and one of my art works got 2nd place, and another one got an anorable mention. I didnt win first, but that does'nt matter to me. The whole experience was just so much fun. Also thanks to my friends Lauren and Daisy for the super pretty roses.

This art work is actually one I haven't photographed yet, but I plan to do so soon; when I add some new art works to the gallery. It's a diarama of a tea party in the Alice in Wonderland world. This is the one that got 2nd place and I'm really glad it's being well recieved since this "diarama" stuff is experimental; so its nice to see it appreciated.

This next one is one you might recognize. My self-portrait ended up getting an honrable mention. Now an honorable mention isnt the most impressive thing in the world, but because of that I was the only participant to get two awards in the high school category.

I had two other art works that did'nt get awarded, but I did hear some people mention they were really nice. Plus one of my models was at the show and got to pose next to her 2-D version.

I really wish I took photos of all the amazing art work there from people in the community and other high schoolers, but I'm dumb and didn't. There were these really cool instagram frames that were a lot of fun to take pictures with. It was a really fun experience and it has defedently pushed me to want to enter in more competitions. Next time I'll be taking gold.
